"One day at a time--this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering."

I Am So Proud of MY HUBBY

Life has been so busy around our house lately.
Sorry you haven't heard from me in days.

I am so very
proud of my husband, Scott.

After 4 long years of going to college
in the evenings and working full-time as well as over-time,
 he fulfilled his dream of
 graduating
with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting on May 1st.
And he graduated with honors!
Pretty good for a 56 year old!!!
Especially for one who didn't start college
until he was 52.
WE ARE ALL SO PROUD OF HIM .

WAY TO GO HONEY!!!!

May 1st also happened to be our
35th Wedding Anniversary!!!

So I dedicate this post to my hubby! To his perseverance
and dedication  to his dreams.

I also am so thankful
that God put him in my life

So thankful for his love and dedication
to his family. So thankful he tells me I'm beautiful
even in my ugly cut off pajama pants that  I cut off
because of hot flashes! ha ha!
They are really ugly!
(does anyone relate?)

So thankful for the joy filled many
moments
we've had over these past 35 years.

I'm thankful  for the hard-trial filled times too,
which bonded us together
even closer than had we not gone
through them.

I look forward
to whatever adventure God
sends us on together next.

Love you
forever and always honey!

Hooray to your sweetie
and to you for supporting
and backing him for all of
those many long days and nights
....I have a feeling at least half of that degree belongs to you:):):)
Sometimes it's harder to stand by
and cheer and pick up the pieces
than it is to do the stuff!
Well done, both of you.

And very cool hugs for those
hot flashes.....don't see yet
how I'm going to get through this
summer with the extra heat rushes
those prickly things bring.
Grace to us all, Lord!

Happy, happy May to you,
sunshine!!!

Congratulations to your husband!!! Please tell him he is a great encouragement to me. Just found your blog. I am 51 and in grad school. It's getting to be a real grind. Seeing others accomplish this is so helpful to me! Many thanks,

To anonymous Maria from NY:

Thank YOU Maria! Congratulations on pushing ahead toward your dreams! YAY for the over 50 crowd who are showing the world that dreams can be accomplished at any age! I was the spouse watching my hubby work so diligently to accomplish a 4 year degree and work full-time. He made it through inspite of the many obstacles that came his way and now he is reaping the wonderful benefits and pride of his own accomplishments. So proud of him, but also glad to have time now for he and I to do some fun things together again. I will pass along your message to him. He will really appreciate it. YOU can do it! YAY for you Maria!
