SOMETHING NEW HAS BLOOMED !!!!

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness, oh my goodness!
Whoa, try saying that really fast
a couple of times in a row.
"Where does time go?"

Well, something new has "Bloomed"
for me and I want to tell you about it.

I have been busy creating, and
staying up late and creating, and then
creating in my dreams too....and I'm
still creating, but ran out of some materials
and am waiting for them to come in the mail.
Whew! That was a lot to say!  I think I'm on a
sugar high because I just rewarded myself with
some ice cream.  I rewarded myself because
my Etsy Shop is finally open!!

Etsy
Buy Handmade
haveadaisy

You can click on my Etsy mini to check out my
shop or you can also click on my haveadaisy.com
pink button and it will take you there.

My son-in-law,  Stevan  designed and made my
button and haveadaisy header and helped me
set up with Etsy. He is the greatest and he told
me he did all of this because he wanted to
help me make my dreams come true!
Wasn't that the sweetest thing ?
If I had a son of my own, I would hope he would
be just like him.
So if you need a web design, blog button, header
or whatever, please keep him in mind.
stevansheets.com

You know, it's kind of scary to put yourself and
your dreams out there.  I mean,
not everyone is going to like what  you create
or what you stand for or what you are
passionate about. You may not even be successful
in the world's eye.
But I do know WHO created me and
who created YOU and that He knew exactly
what He was doing when he put certain,
talents, gifts, and desires in us.
What is important is that we enjoy doing,
and being US, just for Him.
Enjoy being YOU, the glorious you that God
created in His image and the one and only that
can fulfill the purposes He put you on this earth for.

"It matters not if the world has heard
Or approves or understands
The only applause we've meant to seek
Is that of nail-scarred hands."
                                           B.J. Hoff

"For I know the plans I have for you,
declares the Lord, plans to prosper you
and not to harm you, plans to give
you hope and a future."
                                          Jeremiah 29:11

"Since you are like no other being ever
created since the beginning of time,
you are incomparable."
                                           Brenda Uelan

Isn't it great to know you are incomparable?

YOU sure are a big blessing to me and
I'm so very thankful for you!

I've Been Busy Creating

I've been very busy
creating some original items
to put in my new Etsy store.

I am hoping to have my
Shop Announcement
ready to go in the next day or so.

The creating part is something I really love,
but getting all of the Etsy ins and outs
of setting it up correctly, is taking more time
than I expected.  I'm sure everything will flow
much smoother in the future
after the initial set-up is finished.

So here is a sneak peek of a
few of the items I've been creating.

I love zebra stripes and I love daisies
(bet you didn't know I love daisies!!ha)
so.... I put them together.
"My Zebra Daisy Pendants"
each one designed using
my original watercolor and ink mini paintings

This last pendant was really an experiment
that I ended up loving!
Truly the photo doesn't do it justice
because there are bits of sparkles throughout
but it didn't show up in my photography. (argh!)

I actually designed and watercolor painted onto
some architectural paintable vinyl wallcovering that
I had left over from redoing a paneled room in our home.
I like the different textured look
it adds with the butterfly.
It's much prettier when you see it in person.

So there you have it!
...My sneak peek...

Here's hoping this week you all have some
"daisy kind of days"
   along with enjoying some butterflies
as you sip your mint ice tea,
relaxing under a nice big shade tree!
If you happen to see a zebra,
then please think of me, goofball Lee Ann,
and have a good ole' belly laugh!

Oh and come back and tell me about it pleeeeseeee!!!!

Because Her Father Loved Her

I didn't have time to do a post this
past weekend
and I wanted  to make sure
and give a tribute to my hubby,
the wonderful father to
our daughters.

These special words were on a
card he received from
our daughter yesterday
and it describes Him so well.

Because her father
listened to her,
she knew she had something to say.

Because he believed in her,
she believed in herself.

Because he said
she could do anything,
she did.

Dad,
So much
of the good stuff in my life
started with you.

Thank you.

Well, as you might well imagine,
I found him all choked up and teary eyed
right after he read those words that
honored him so.

When our daughters were 4 years old
he began taking each one
of them out
to breakfast every other Saturday,
on what became known
and looked forward to
as the Daddy/Daughter Dates.
We have two daughters, so
they each went on a special date
with him once a month.

Our daughters are now 28 and 30 years
old and they still talk about these
special times they spent
with their dad.
I would have given anything as a young
girl to have had a father
that would have wanted to spend
  time with me,
so my hubby blessed me too when he
poured
into our daughters this way.

Honey, thank you for being You and
for honoring your girls the way
that you have.  Thank you
for making a
difference in generations
to come because of
knowing the value of spending
time, listening and believing in
those you LOVE
and who love YOU more than
you will ever know.

Are You A Crackpot?

I've been playing around with trying
to put some cracks in my watercolor flowerpots.

Trying to make a crack look good isn't easy.
So if you creators out there have
any tips, please let me know.

********

I like the idea of an imperfect pot, since I can
relate it to my life and the many
imperfections I have.  Those imperfections
used to bother me more than they
do these days because without them I
wouldn't be ME and you wouldn't be YOU either.

The cracks you and I have are beautiful
because God takes our pain
and trials and makes us
vessels that can help others because
of them...and you might be the only one
who can make the difference!
I don't know about YOU, but I prefer
cracked pots (friends) any day!

"If you only look at us,
you might well miss the brightness.
We carry this precious Message around
in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives.
That's to prevent anyone from confusing God's
incomparable power with us."
2 Corinthians 4:7 (MSG)

"Nobody can be exactly like me.
Sometimes I even have trouble doing it."
Tallulah Bankhead

So remember, we are really just clay pots, but
full of all kinds of wonderful things!

A Walk By the River

Tonight, hubby and I took our walk together
on the River Greenway.
I have an old injury in my knee that
acts up every now and then
and decided after about 2 miles to let him walk
on while I sat on a bench by the river.
There is nothing like being out in
nature to get me praising my Creator!

As I sat there, I found myself imagining
Jesus walking along the river,
as I'm sure He did while on this earth, and
me getting the blessing of sitting at His feet as
he stopped to rest to tell a parable.
Wouldn't that be awesome!

I took this picture because I love this tree!
It just looks like a wise ole tree that could tell some
interesting stories.

Anyway, I found myself also praying and
telling Him how I wish I could really
touch His hand and see his
eyes look into mine, and hear him
speak directly to me His words of wisdom.
I would like for Him to take a pencil
(in this case He would have to use His finger
to write in the dirt since we are by the river)
and write down the
path and steps he wants me to walk, so I
wouldn't have
any doubts of which way to go.

He reminded me that He touches me everyday through
His divine word and through
different people that He puts in my path.
Either through meeting
them in person,
through a handwritten encouragement note
they've sent, through
a beautiful comment to me on my blog,
through a piece of art or music that moves me to tears,
through a
child who gives me a hug
for no other reason than just because,
through my hubby telling me I'm beautiful when
I just got out of bed !!
(you will never see that scene on this blog!)

Of course, I could go on and on....  and I
imagine You could also.
Still, I would love to sit beside Him and touch
His hand, but for now I will enjoy the blessings
He put here on this earth just for me.

How about you?
What special ways does He use
to bless YOU?

You are one of my special blessings,

Back From A Celebration

We've been away visiting family and celebrating
my grandson, Ezra's very first birthday!

He is a cutie and a very busy little mover of a boy!

I caught a picture of my hubby
also having fun playing with our sweeties!

My big bear hug from my granddaughter, Ella just
before we had to head out the door to travel back home!

These times together are so priceless!
I only wish distance didn't separate us so much.
I'm trying to think of new and creative
ways to stay  close in heart
and connected though miles apart.

Please tell me some of your secrets
to keeping your family
close when distance separates you?
I would love to add your ideas to my list.

Oh and please come back tomorrow
because I am having a GIVEAWAY!!
