I've been playing around with trying
to put some cracks in my watercolor flowerpots.
Trying to make a crack look good isn't easy.
So if you creators out there have
any tips, please let me know.

I like the idea of an imperfect pot, since I can
relate it to my life and the many
imperfections I have. Those imperfections
used to bother me more than they
do these days because without them I
wouldn't be ME and you wouldn't be YOU either.
The cracks you and I have are beautiful
because God takes our pain
and trials and makes us
vessels that can help others because
of them...and you might be the only one
who can make the difference!
I don't know about YOU, but I prefer
cracked pots (friends) any day!
"If you only look at us,
you might well miss the brightness.
We carry this precious Message around
in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives.
That's to prevent anyone from confusing God's
incomparable power with us."
2 Corinthians 4:7 (MSG)
"Nobody can be exactly like me.
Sometimes I even have trouble doing it."
Tallulah Bankhead
So remember, we are really just clay pots, but
full of all kinds of wonderful things!
full of all kinds of wonderful things!
"YOU BEAUTIFUL CRACKPOT YOU"

Yes, I'm a grateful crackpot...grateful for all the cracks.
Great post!

LeeAnn, I like your drawing! Great job...Your post reminds me of the story about the woman carrying the two pots to the well. One was cracked, so all the flowers on that side of the road were watered and bloomed beautifully.
May all of us use our imperfections to nourish others everyday.
I love the quote,
Nobody can be like me. Sometimes I do have trouble with me, Just being me. If we weren't cracked we wouldn't need Jesus. So I am thank full I am a little cracked up!
Plus...I have fun cracking others up! Have a great day. Once again you inspired me & made me smile.
Thanks Deborah
I love your picture and I think you accomplished your goal...looks real....
Your message is so right on...we are all cracked pots but isn't it great God heals the cracks so we can still hold beauty for Him....and you certainly do that...
Hugs
Lee Ann big bouquets of hugs to you from one cracked pot to another.
Your comments bless me more than you could know!!! I so wish we could spend an afternoon together!!
with love,

Crackpots we are! So agree with what you wrote, nothing gets wasted with God although there are times I wish he'd put a hold on buffing out my ruff edges :-)
Thanks LeeAnn, that was great and the watercolour you did is equally so.
LOVE your flowers and the cracked pot is perfect!! Yes we are all crack-pots aren't we? Love your Scripture (so true) and the Tallulah Bankhead one is so funny. Love it.
I'm learning to cherish those cracks....makes them more spacious and roomy and ever so much more interesting:) Love your sunny blog and heart, LeeAnn.
