"One day at a time--this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering."

"Release" and Move On in 2014

Finally figured out my
WORD to live by for 2014.
I didn't really want to use this word.
I continued to ignore the thoughts of it.
Just didn't feel like a pretty word..ya know?
But this theme kept showing up
and I realized it really is
something I need to pay attention to
and take care of.

       "Release"
to set free

All so I can move on and

receive the BEST that God has

planned for me.

Are you anything like me and

in your mind sometimes

find that you

 re-hash and scold yourself

over some past failures or mistakes?

(even if they happened years ago)

(even if to others, they aren't even considered mistakes)

Do you sometimes play

the "woulda, coudla, shoulda" game

over and again in your head?

If so, I hope you will join me

this year on my blog as I

share how God is helping me

to Release

 this kind of thinking,

and hopefully it will help you

also to do the same.

It will be a work in progress,

but I already feel lighter.

As if  a burden

has been lifted off of me,

since releasing some of this

junky-stinkin' thinkin!

Friends,

I am excited to share this journey

with Y♥U....

and hope it will be an

encouragement in your life also.

"When God created you, he knew exactly

what He was looking for..

YOU are what He came up with."

Brian Houston

Hugs to you all,

It's so good to see your blog in my sidebar...I really miss your posts and all the encouragement you send out through your blog...You truly have the gift of encouragement and you have made such a difference in so many lives....mine included....

I know what it's like to struggle with a word for the year and not want to accept it. Once we do, the anxiety starts to melt away and you get excited about how it's going to reveal itself to you....

Release.....I can so relate. I will be very interested to see how this word plays out for you this year dear friend....

Hi dear friend, what a life giving word...making room word...freeing word...I do believe we are harder on ourselves than God is...we hold on to more of the junk...he holds on to more of the good...and desires only the good for us...we are such clingers...but our God is so gracious and patient with us. He waits for us to say, it's time...I am willing...

We will all be encouraged and enlarged by your journey.

Love you!

release! I love that word
and the freedom that I sense
tingling around inside your spirit
as you dive into that brave place
and make ready for a year of adventure as your amazing shepherd
leads you on. I feel release happening even as I sit here in your place....the air is thick with it! Leaning into that word with you, with big joy.
Release is really beautiful on you:)

I LOVE your word. I'm even a little bit envious of it, truth be told. What a wonderful definition. Wow. I'm kind of hoping it might choose to be my word for next year. *grin*

Thank you so much for your lovely words of encouragement over at my place today. I hope we get to see those coffee mug paintings...

Blessings,
Carolynn
