One of my very first fun watercolor paintings. Since painting this picture, I have painted a couple more of these in a baby nursery for friends.
Even as a little girl, I loved being creative and I continue to love it. I especially enjoy watercolor painting and using acrylics. It's one of those talents that I have been shy about sharing with to many people. You know, because of worrying about what others may think of it, or because I myself don't think it is perfect enough. Instead I should be using the talent God has given me to honor HIM and to practice it for the joy it brings into my own life.
on Saturdays to start sharing with you, my blogging friends, another part of myself, and in turn I hope this will encourage more of you shy artists at heart and in the making, to get brave and share your creations too. I would love it if you would link to my blog and share something creative on your own post and then come back and leave me a comment about it. It doesn't have to be a painting. It can be any creation.
So...... I have decided......
" Whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."
1 Corinthians 10:31b
"There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you
it's going to be a butterfly."
Buckminister Fuller

Oh Lee Ann,
That just thrills my heart. You are so talented!! Such an adorable piece. I am so proud that I had even a tiny tiny part of you being brave and sharing this with the world!!! I can't wait to see what else you come up with.
I just made something today too, that thrilled my heart. I'll put it in my store...whenever I finally get that up and running. Thank you so much for sharing with me;)
To Becky (at Farmgirl Paints),
I am looking so forward to checking out your artwork and new Etsy Store once you open it! Can't wait! God really has used you to give me courage! Thank you!

Hi Lee Ann, thank you for your comment!! Your blog name was my silent reminder today that God hears me cry out to him. I've been trying to clean the house all day (thew my back out in the first 5 minutes and am just now starting on the dishes) and when I got the email telling me I had a new comment on my blog the first thing I saw was your blog name. I just sat there staring at the word "encouragement" and knew God was telling me that he was cheering me on today. Even if all I am doing is cleaning, and even if he knows how much I hate that. Had to share and tell you what a blessing your comment was today.
I did not know about the radio online, how cool!! The local Christian radio station here is playing Christmas music on the weekends but it's mostly old songs about Rudolf and Frosty with only a FEW really awesome praise Christmas songs mixed in (which is why I've been playing CDs instead). I will definitely be checking your station out though thanks! (Sorry for writing you a book here!!!) Thanks again for your comment on my blog, I'll be back to visit yours some more too!

It's adorable! You should be proud. Most of the rest of us couldn't paint something even remotely close to that good, trust me! I'm glad you shared it. Hope you're having a good day...

Hi LeeAnn, Just stopped by to visit and am so glad that I did. I love your giraffe! How cute!
Thanks for the encouragement to 'show our stuff'! After all, the Lord who created us to be artists, just delight in our creations!
Looking forward to getting to know you better (the pics of the grankids are just too cute!)...
Be blessed,
Susan
Hi Lee Ann! What a cute picture! It made me smile as soon as I saw it! Your work is very good. Looks like painting is what God designed you to do.
I can see that we have some things in common. I was always shy about showing my creative endeavors too. But I have discovered that this is what God designed me to do and I want to live that out for His Glory.
Thank you so much for visiting my Graphics Blog and for your very sweet comment. It blessed my socks off! :)
Stop by on Sunday if you get a chance. I'm having a give-away.
It's so nice to meet you and I look forward to getting to know you.
Beautiful grand-babies too!
Rich blessings to you!
Your painting is wonderful. You are very talented. I have tried painting several times but that is not one of my talents. I can't wait to see more. I am loving the chance to learn more about you and my other new blogging buddies.
LeeAnn.
I simply adore that painting...I am sooo glad you are willing to risk sharing for others to see the wonderous God given talent you have inside....I could not with any amount of training begin to create what you have created in this adorable whimsical giraffe,,,It so speaks of YOU,YOUR style, and personality...Oh, did I forget to mention talent?!! Others may paint a giraffe, but it will NEVER be a 'LeeAnn' style giraffe...Many paint geese, but they are not P. Buckley Moss style geese...Thanks for brightening my day. That giraffe just gives me a big smile!!!...Sue G.
What a wonderful way to encourage other artists!!!!
