"One day at a time--this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering."

SHOW SOME CREATIVITY SATURDAY #11

I haven't posted a
 "SHOW SOME CREATIVITY SATURDAY
for a few weeks.
It seems I've been so busy with other things
and haven't been creating.
Are you like me, and get stuck creatively when busyness and
being tired strikes you?
Well, I decided to try something new. Learning new
things is one of the ways I can set a spark under myself
to get ME going creatively again.
I'm very new to so many art materials but love learning
NEW ways to create.
While watching "American Idol" the other night,
(yes, I love that show)
I ink doodled some flowers on watercolor paper and then
colored them in with watercolor crayons, which I've never
used before.
Can't say that I'm good at blending them yet, but with practice
I'm sure I will love using them.

" Flowers are the sweetest things God
ever made
and forgot to put a soul into."
Henry Ward Beecher

So what do you do
to get yourself going creatively when you find yourself  in a slump?
Maybe YOU do something else besides being creative,
to get out
of the slumps of life.
If so, please share!
We all want to know.
Also please feel free to leave a comment
with a link to one of your creations if you'd like.

Have a fabulous weekend!

I'm like you Lee Ann I try something new to jump start the creativity, and everything is new to me as well! The flowers are beautifully done, delicate and detailed, I'm always in awe of those who can draw with accuracy for my talent just doesn't stretch that far, thank God for the world of collage & mixed media :-)

I am like you, I get tired and the stress of life can drain the creativity right out of me. I like to get out and go to an artsy store or Galley and soak up the creativity from others. Trying something new is always a great way to jump start the flow of creativity, But Prayer, meditation and music always lift my spirit.
Many Blessing,Deborah

For someone who's using watercolor crayons for the first time, those flowers are lovely!
I hope you'll do more with this media and share here.
I have to change things up to jumpstart my artsy self. If I've been doing oils on canvas, I'll go to small paper mixed media. If I've been working on some ATCs, I'll try something larger in a different approach.
Like many, I'm wired for variety, I guess. :-)
Thanks for sharing!

Well Girl, you hit the nail on the head...that's been me this week.
STUCK....I usually try to do something entirely different from what I had been working on...kinda frees my mind somehow...I can always go to spinning or knitting to relax and regain some balance.
I love the flowers you did....they are so sweet........
Hugs and Blessings,
Butterfly
