"One day at a time--this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering."

A Walk By the River

Tonight, hubby and I took our walk together
on the River Greenway.
I have an old injury in my knee that
acts up every now and then
and decided after about 2 miles to let him walk
on while I sat on a bench by the river.
There is nothing like being out in
nature to get me praising my Creator!

As I sat there, I found myself imagining
Jesus walking along the river,
as I'm sure He did while on this earth, and
me getting the blessing of sitting at His feet as
he stopped to rest to tell a parable.
Wouldn't that be awesome!

I took this picture because I love this tree!
It just looks like a wise ole tree that could tell some
interesting stories.

Anyway, I found myself also praying and
telling Him how I wish I could really
touch His hand and see his
eyes look into mine, and hear him
speak directly to me His words of wisdom.
I would like for Him to take a pencil
(in this case He would have to use His finger
to write in the dirt since we are by the river)
and write down the
path and steps he wants me to walk, so I
wouldn't have
any doubts of which way to go.

He reminded me that He touches me everyday through
His divine word and through
different people that He puts in my path.
Either through meeting
them in person,
through a handwritten encouragement note
they've sent, through
a beautiful comment to me on my blog,
through a piece of art or music that moves me to tears,
through a
child who gives me a hug
for no other reason than just because,
through my hubby telling me I'm beautiful when
I just got out of bed !!
(you will never see that scene on this blog!)

Of course, I could go on and on....  and I
imagine You could also.
Still, I would love to sit beside Him and touch
His hand, but for now I will enjoy the blessings
He put here on this earth just for me.

How about you?
What special ways does He use
to bless YOU?

scroll down to mute my music at bottom of page so you can hear this video

You are one of my special blessings,

Yes, yes and Amen.
There are times when I want Him to be visible. Physically present.
Then, when I think of it, I know this weak flesh would be overwhelmed and explode into a million pieces.
Blessedly, He is present in those ways that we need to see clearly and to note with gratitude.
Thank you, Father, for LeeAnn. Bless her in the coming days.

Oh what a wonderful post; it was encouraging, beautiful, and a great reminder that He is with us always and if our eyes are open He will reveal Himself to us just as He did to you yesterday.....

Thank you for using your gift of encouragement to share this special time with us....

Hugs and blessings

Re the amazing vid...YOU KNOW IT'S PROFOUND, girfriend!
I first saw it about a year ago, so I'm thinking everyone's seen it. Silly me!
There's another (youtube) preacher who speaks on it, and talks about a manufacturer putting his logo on his products, so everyone knows who made them.
Gotta Love it!

Oh what a glorious day it will be when we meet Him face to face. As for me I can hardly wait. Lee Ann your words are so encouraging. Keep them coming.
Love you,
Aunt Jean

It's funny that you wanted him to write to you in the sand because I always wish that he would just send me a text and tell me what I'm supposed to do. But I find that the more time I spend with him and in his word the more I can hear his still small voice leading me and instructing me. (I still think a text would be easier.) :)
