"One day at a time--this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering."

Resting is a Good Thing....Even Nature Does It!

Nature does not hurry,
yet everything is accomplished.”
Lao Tzu

I think God was trying to get
my attention
when I saw one black and
one white goose swimming my way.
Aren't they pretty?
These geese stayed right in front of me the
entire hour, as I was writing in my journal recently,
 at the park!
They played, bobbed for food, and even
took a little nap, all the while
I sat there enjoying the view.

They so reminded me that it really is okay to rest and
to just let yourself  BE.
I also was reminded of this when I read my friend Jen's blog post here.

(fun with making one of my flower photos look like a painting in photoshop)

Is letting yourself  rest and just BE ever
difficult for you?

We should take a tip from this

I've been resting a lot this summer
because my
body and mind
have both needed it.
I hope you are giving yourself
permission to do the same if you find
yourself needing it too.
It really is okay.

“Take rest;
a field that has
rested gives a bountiful crop. “

Lee Ann,
I enjoyed reading your post!!!
Rest is essential for our mind, body, and spirit. So glad you are taking the time to do just that.
I also LOVE your photo of the flowers, I need to figure out how to do that.
Take care dear lady.

Hi Lee Ann; LOVE this! (and your pictures) :)

My life moves at such a fast pace sometimes that it seems to pass me by before I can really enjoy it, and most of the time I'm running at least ten minutes late! Ha! I know I need to slow down and enjoy every moment of some quiet time with God, with myself, friends, family, and anyone else that He has placed in my life, and realize the importance of this precious time He has given
me. :)

Blessings and love to you!
Denise
