"One day at a time--this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering."

SHOW SOME CREATIVITY SATURDAY #7

This week on SHOW SOME CREATIVITY SATURDAY, I thought I would show you some of the painted borders/murals I've done.  You may join me also if you'd like by linking up with one of your posts (past or present) that show your creation. (Click on McLinky "You are Next" button below post.) Remember that it doesn't have to be a painting but anything you've had to use your creative juices to make.  I started this to encourage others to be brave and show their creative side that God has blessed them with.

A nursery I painted for a co-worker.  I sketched the animals from looking at her baby bed quilt and painted them onto the wall, then I sponged on the star border using cheap star shaped sponges.

About 5 yrs ago, our two daughters decided to get married 10 weeks between one another. Yes you heard me correctly-it was just 10 short weeks in between! It was a bit stressful, emotional and expensive! But it all turned out beautifully! That summer, I decided to use my creative juices and try something new! I made some extra money for the weddings by painting on walls for friends, family and a few word of mouth customers. I don't know about you, but when the money is tight, it seems God gives me new creative ways to save money. (couponing for groceries, bardering, making homemade gifts, and using my art)

A cherry branch border that I painted in my hairdresser's shop. By the way, painting in your hairdresser's shop is a great way to get the word out that you will paint for others!
I did it for her as a gift.
Everybody spreads the word around in a beauty shop! ha!

A border I painted for my sister around her living room. I painted on the vine, branches and berries and sponged on the leaves from leaf shapes I cut out of a sponge. So much faster and easier to sponge on leaves when you have to go around an entire room.

If any of you would like to try painting a border or on a wall and want  more detail from me on the type of  paint I used etc..., just leave me a comment and I'll be happy to answer you.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Wow those are so beautiful LeeAnn! You are very artistic.

We have someone at church who painted the walls in the childrens area something like a cottage scene small town with scriptures and such and I just love it!

Thank you for stopping by my blog and sharing your encouraging words and your prayer request. Here is my prayer for you in case you do not get back over to my blog.

Heavenly Father, Giver of Every Good and Perfect Gift, You have gifted Lee Ann with creativeness as well as encouragement. Your Word says that You equip us for good works that You created in advance for us to do. You tell us that You have a plan and purpose for our lives. She so desires to serve You with her gifts and talents, Lord. Give her a vision to see where it is You are calling her to use these gifts. Father, put people across her path and open doors. Make it ever so clear how Lee Ann can use her gifts to advance Your kingdom. Father, open the eyes of her heart as she reads Your Word to hear Your voice and discern Your direction. Use her Lord to bring Your Light and Your Joy to Your Kingdom. Through the power of Your Holy Spirit may she shine brightly like the stars in the sky as she seeks to serve You with her gifts and talents. Bless the work of her hands, Lord. We thank You in advance for all You will do. In Jesus Name, AMEN.

In Him, Wendy
